Todays encounter against Willclare highlighted the true extent of the problems Paschendale are facing week in, week out.
After a very promising start that saw the Dale take the lead after 27 minutes, only to lose it 4 minutes later then fall behind just before half time, you would have still had your money on The Dale to pull it back in the second, due to playing the better football in the half.
However, the second half saw chances wasted as the clocked ticked on and on the 75th minute Dale were punished as Willcare struck their 3rd on a counter attack that saw only 2 members of the team defend. It had become obvious that nearly the entire team had ran out of steam and Willclare took advantage of this 3 minutes later and just before the final whistle handing a woeful and tired Paschendale a 5-1 beating.

After a very promising start which saw Paschendale going in one up at the half time interval, lack of focus and battle in the second half led to the team conceding 3 sloppy goals, resulting in a 3-1 loss and the teams third loss in the league.
Plenty of positives can be taken out of the game, however, the same old issues keep rearing their ugly head
Man of the Match went to Lee Williams
A lack of basic skills, team shape and discipline all contributed towards the 5-1 loss at the hands of Coleshill today.
Dale found themselves 1 down after just 90 seconds, and although they equalized after 20 minutes, they never looked or offered much of a threat until the final ten minutes of the match.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. So todays cup competition against Moseley Village saw Player/Coach/Manager Kevin Redmond come out of retirement to don his boots to lead his troops into battle!
From the off the team looked well organised creating chances throughout both halves. The guys went in at the half time interval 2 up with goals from Ant Ellis and Chris Donnelly, and maintained the lead till the final whistle.
Man of the Match was awarded to Ant Ellis

The second of 3 cups games to be played this month saw Paschendale fall 3-1 to Bromford Diamonds.
Trailing one nil at half time, Dale were guilt of bad passes and a serious lack of movement from their 2 centre mids and two forwards throughout the first half.
This didnt fair much better in the second. However a change of personnel with 20 minutes to go finally saw chances being created. However the damage had already been done as they trailed 3-0, despite the keeper saving a penalty in the early stages of the half.
Man of the Match Anthony Ellis scored a consolation goal in the dying seconds to make it 3-1
The first of 3 cups game to be played this month was lost in an embarrassing way today as Paschendale fell 7-3 to Castle Green.
Although the Villa/Blues fixture took several first team players out of play, the team that took to the field was by no means weak! However, the players once again showed a lack of enthusiasm, heart, fight and team cohesion from the off, and paid dearly for it trailing 3-0 within the first 25 minutes and 5-2 at half time.
Dale scored early in the 2nd half, but failed to build upon it. Castle scored twice in the final 10 to secure the game.
Paschendales first game of the season couldnt have got off to a worse start as they met Bromford Diamonds for the second time this season.
They found themselves one down in the first 60 seconds, two down after 17 minutes and a goal on the half time whistle saw them trail 3-0 to a more determined side. Lack of passion, attitude and fight was to blame for this.
One half time hair dryer talk later saw a different side enter the field. Dale took the game to the opponents and scored in the first 5 minutes of the restart, only to have it disallowed to a very dodgy offside decision. However the Dale battled on and got their reward on the 65 minute when Anthony Ellis converted a penalty after a player was brought down in the box. In the 82 minute Darren Redmond was responsible for allowing BD through on goal to make it 4-1, from which Dale pulled one back one minute after with another Anthony Ellis goal.
Chances came and went for Dale throughout the second half, and the players will rue going 3-0 down in the first half as this was a game they could of won based on their second half performance.
Man of the Match went to Chris Donnelly
In Paschendales last friendly before their first game of the season, the players picked themselves up after Wednesdays defeat to beat Warwick Athletic 5-0 in what was a impressive display by all concerned.
The deadlock was broken by Jack Crawford who is now the holder of the fastest club goal record when he put the team ahead with a 20 yard strike after just 1 minute 13 seconds of the game.
Second half goals, the first an own goal from Chris Donnellys shot and Darren Redmonds 18 yard strike, put the Dale 3-0 up within 5 minutes of the restart. Anthony Ellis finished the job off after he hit home twice in the final 15 minutes.
Man of the Match was awarded to Rich Oldnall
What can only be described as a truly embarrassing game to watch, Paschendale lost their 3rd friendly game to a well organised, disciplined and more creative King Norton FC.
The 7-1 scoreline could of been a lot worse. If the Dale are to hold their own this season then this game needs to be a benchmark of what to expect in the comng months and need to adapt accordingly

Paschendale's 2nd friendly of the season finished with a 2-1 win over last seasons Alliance 2 champions Moseley Town Colts. Moseley started the game with 10 men and was quick to exploit a mistake in the backline after 15 minutes. 20 minutes later the scores were level as a Moseley player headed into his own goal from a corner. With 15 minutes remaining, Dale were awarded a penalty which Anthony Ellis converted and ended up being the winning goal. Man of the Match was awarded to Lee Williams
